A Life Care Plan is a comprehensive analysis that identifies the future medical treatment, services, and associated costs required as a result of an injury.
The purpose of a Life Care Plan is to identify and quantify the reasonably anticipated medical care, treatment, medications, diagnostic testing, equipment, and supportive services that will be required over the course of the evaluee’s life expectancy as a result of the injuries sustained in the subject incident.
Life Care Plans are typically prepared once the patient has reached a point where future medical needs can be reasonably anticipated.
Completion time depends on the complexity of the case, but most plans are completed within 6–8 weeks after receipt of records and case materials.
